Derek Hagar claims fourth 2015 USCS win at Batesville Motor Speedway PDF Print E-mail
USCSHagar7.10.15.jpgBatesville, AR – July 10, 2015 - Derek Hagar charged to his fourth United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters main event win of 2015. In doing so, the Marion, Arkansas hot-shoe rolled into the www.rockauto.com USCS Victpry Lane for the 33rd time on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway after the 25-lap distance at the fastest track in Arkansas and the Mid South area.

The win wasn’t an easy one, as Hagar, who started fourth in the field, chased USCS presented by K&N National point’s leader Morgan Turpen from Cordova, Tennessee for the first ten laps before racing by her to lead the rest of the distance. Turpen created a caution on lap sixteen when her #10m stopped on the racing surface with a mechanical failure rtghat she said showed up early in the race. The field bunched behind the 2013 USCS National Champion with 2012 National Champion and three time 2015 winner Tim Crawley, Jerod Roller , 11-time series Champion Terry Gray and A.G. Rains in the top five for the re-start. When the green flag unfurled no one had anything for the Hagar who was also the 2006 USCS Rookie of the Year.
