J.C. Waller captures first K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified title in 2015 PDF Print E-mail
USCSOWMWaller2015Comp.jpgAtlanta, GA – January 5, 2015 – J.C. Waller from Arlington, Tennessee captured the 10th anniversary and 2015 K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series Championship. Waller gas been a USCS regular over the series first ten seasons and competed in the series first ever event at Garnertown Speedway in 2006 as a rookie driver. He used a trip to the USCS Victory Lane after a win at Jackson Motor Speedway on May 23rd and a total of six top five and seven top ten finishes to claim the title. Waller topped the standings with 1192 points in the competitive Mid South based series for Outlaw style open wheel modified race cars. 

The series 2015 Most Improved Driver, Bobby Allen, Jar, from Mason, Tennessee followed Waller in second place with 927 points. Campbell, Missouri’s Robert Powers, who also had a series win at Tennessee National Raceway on March 21st plus four top five runs, finished in third place. Another 2015 feature winner and Mid South open wheel modified Ace driver, Chris Moore from Nesbit, Mississippi finished in fourth place. A newcomer to the series top ten, Josh Greene from Paragould, Arkansas, rounded out the top five drivers in the season’s final point standings. 

The 2009 K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series Rookie of the Year, Justin Roberts also from Paragould, Arkansas won a main event at Diamond Park Speedway on June 26th and finished sixth in the point standings. Ronnie Vernon from Friendship, Tennessee, also was a main event winner and accumulated enough points during the season to finish seventh in the final standings. He was followed by Charles Sibley from Livingston, Louisiana in eighth place. 

The 2013 K&N Filters USCS Modified Series Champion, Troy Dow from Munford, Tennessee ran a limited 2015 schedule but, still finished in ninth place. Chase Delrio from West Monroe, Louisiana rounded out the top ten drivers in the standings. 

One hundred different drivers competed during the weather shortened eight event 2015 K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series season. 

The 2016 and eleventh anniversary K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series season is set to open during the 8th annual USCS “Frostbuster 250” at Magnolia Motor Speedway on March 4th and 5th, 2016.
