Robby Hoffman races to win #2 on the 2016 season at Senoia PDF Print E-mail
Senoia, GA – August 20, 2016 – Robby Hoffman from Tampa, Florida raced to his second USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini sprint win of the season in the 20-lap main event during the USCS Senoia Summer Nationals VII on Saturday night. Hoffman took the lead on lap nine after early race leader and 2013 series Rookie of the Year driver Brandon Taylor of Cumming, GA had a mechanical failure. 


Following Hoffman under the checkered flag were Engler Machine and Tool First Heat winner, Robbie Smith of Ocala, FL, in the runner-up spot. Another two-time 2016 winner, David Hall of Tampa, FL, took the K&N Filters Podium Award home in third place. Aubrey Black II of Lookout Mountain, GA, finished fourth and two-time USCS 600 Sprint Champion, Bobby Zaiontz of Columbus, MS rounded out the top five drivers.


Hoffman and Hall’s team-mate and another 2016 winner, Dirk Miller of Tampa, FL led the next group in sixth place. A former USCS regional series Champion, Bob Trapino of Alpharetta, GA, followed Miller in seventh place. Matt McCullough of Snellville, GA, finished eighth, Curt Schumacher of Columbus, MS was ninth and defending series Champion Remeno Loyal of Snellville, GA completed the top ten.


Robbie Smith kicked off the evening’s winged mini sprint racing action by winning the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat. Bobby Zaiontz led the second flight of heat racers across the finish line in the Second Heat. Robbie Smith also collected the evening’s Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger award after advancing the most positions in the main event..
