Caden Englehart wins USCS Hurricane Hustle 600 final at Flomaton Speedway PDF Print E-mail

Flomaton, AL – April 15, 2017 – Caden Englehart from Indialantic, FL won his career-first USCS main event on Saturday night in the www.RockAuto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series portion of the USCS Hurricane Hustle I night #2 at Flomaton Speedway.  Englehart was declared the winner after the previous night’s winner, Gregg Jones, came up light at the scales in post -race technical inspection. Brandon Anderson from Montgomery, Texas charged from a ninth starting position to finish in the runner-up spot and earn the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger award. The K&N Filters Podium Award for third place went to the series current points -leader and 2016 USCS 600 Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year, Conner Morrell from Palmetto, Florida. Holden Anderson, also from Montgomery, Texas took the fourth spot, and Jim McNulty rounded out the top five drivers.

Two-time USCS Mini Sprint Champion, Bobby Zaiontz from Columbus, Mississippi flipped earlier in the race. He was then up-righted and recovered to finish sixth, Jim Kradel of Navarre, Florida was seventh and Robbie Roberts was eighth.

 K&N Filters Pole Award recipient and K&N Pole Position starter Micha McCall from Brewton, Alabama and Chris Hurter were scored ninth and tenth , but left the race on lap one after they were involved in a serious that sent McCall to the hospital . Hurter was shaken but was not transported.

 In preliminary action, the USCS Hoosier Speed Dash for the division was won Brandon Anderson. The pair of 8-lap heat races were won by Gregg Jones and Conner Morrell.

 The USCS 600 Mini Sprints will travel to Lexington 104 Speedway in Lexington, Tennessee on Saturday, April 22nd to compete in the USCS Tennessee Tangle 2017.
