Sammy Swindell wins USCS Sprint Speedweek Round #5 at Talladega

Eastaboga, AL - May 31, 2018 - Sammy Swindell from Germantown, TN raced to the win in the United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters 13th Annnual USCS Sprint Speedweek Round #5 at Talladega Short Track on Thursday night. Swindell passed 2013 USCS National Champion  Derek Hagar from Marion, AR on lap 5 for the lead and never looked back on his way to the www.RockAuto.com USCS Victory Lane  Hagar followed Swindell across the finish line in the runner-up spot at the end of the 30-lap contest.

Three-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Tony Stewart from Brownsburg, IN followed the duo in the K&N Filters Podium award third place. Sprint Car Hall of Famer, Danny Smith from Chillicothe, OH was fourth at the finish and Byhalia, Mississippi's Dale Howard rounded out the top five.

Shane Morgan races to career-first USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour win at Jackson

Jackson, MS – May 26, 2018 – Shane Morgan from Biloxi, Mississippi charged past early race-leader and K&N Filters Pole Position starter Dale Howard from Byhalia, Mississippi into the lead after a re-start following a caution for a spun car. From that point Morgan held off hard charging Marshall Skinner from Marion, Arkansas for a career-first United Sprint Car Series win in the USCS Sprint Car Speedweek Round #2 event at Jackson Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Atlanta, GA - Friday, May 5, 2018 8:54 p.m. - Due to the 90% chance of rain and Thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening on Saturday, May 5th in-the-vicinity-of ECM Speedway and in consideration of the long distances most of the USCS race teams have to travel to ECM Speedway in Bremen, Alabama, the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour has cancelled the USCS Saturday of Speed sprint car portion of the Saturday, May 5th event ECM Speedway. The USCS has agreed with track management to RESCHEDULE the sprint car series to return to ECM Speedway on SATURDAY - JUNE 9TH. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone, but, we will see you in 5 weeks at ECM Speedway.

The next stop for the United Sprint Car Series will be for a weekend USCS double-header with the winged mini sprints of the www.RockAuto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton , Alabama on Friday, May 18th and at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida on Saturday, May 19th.

Crawley gets USCS win #82 at Lexington 104 Speedway on Saturday

Lexington, TN – April 28, 2018 - The 2012 USCS National Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas charged from his outside second row starting position into the www.RockAuto.com USCS Victory Lane for a hard-fought win on Saturday night in front of a near capacity crowd at the high-banked 3/8-mile Lexington 104 Speedway. It was Crawley’s first USCS win of the 2018 season and his 82nd career USCS main event win dating all the way back to July 4th of 1997 during the series first season. That puts the Arkansas driver third on the all-time win list behind 11-time USCS National Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee with 90 wins and retired driver Kenny Adams of Malabar, Florida with an even 100 victories.

On Saturday night’s initial start, past Champion, Marshall Skinner from Marion, Arkansas. the K&N Filters Pole Position starter, jumped into the lead in turn one after beating past USCS National Champion, Eddie Gallagher from Olive Branch, Mississippi to the first turn.  After a red flag incident for USCS young gun Joey Schmidt from Ellisville, Mississippi ton lap three to check for injury and damage, the race continued with Schmidt going to the sidelines. Skinner then continued to lead the contest through lap twenty-three (23) while being pursued by Three-time NASCAR Cup series Champion, Tony Stewart from Columbus, Indiana in second place.

Dale Howard sweeps USCS Outlaw Thunder event at North Alabama Speedway

Tuscumbia, AL - March 24, 2018 - Dale Howard from Byhalia, MS won his career-second USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters 30-lap main event at North Alabama Speedway on Saturday night during the rain-delayed USCS Shoals Shootout. Tony Stewart, Morgan Turpen, Sammy Swindell and Derek Hagar rounded out the top five.

Howard sweep the evenings sprint car portion of the event by winning the USCS Hoosier Tire Speed Dash, the Brown and Miller Racing Solutions Second Heat Race and then closing the deal by collecting the win in the 30-lap main event.

Columbus, MS – March 3, 2018 – Tony Stewart from Columbus, Indiana raced to a career-second United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters main event win at Magnolia Motor Speedway in the USCS Winter Heat Round #6 finale on Saturday night. Stewart charged from his K&N Filters Pole Award starting position into the lead on lap-one and led all 30-laps of the contest around Mississippi’s largest and fastest oval. Stewart was able to hold off late race charges after several re-starts by Blake Hahn from Tulsa, Oklahoma and 2013 USCS National Champion Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas to secure his second trip to the www.rockauto.com USCS Victory Lane.
