Jeff Swindell leads USCS Fall Nationals sprint qualifying
West Memphis, AR - Jeff Swindell from Bartlett, Tennessee swept Friday noght'd Pole qualifying action for the Parts Plus USCS sprint cars at Riverisde Speedway by setting fast time,winning his heat race and then following with a win in the Pole Scamble to place himself on the K&N filters Pole Position for Saturday nights first of twin 25 - lap main events. The winner of the first main event will start 22nd in the second feature race and will be racing for $10,000.

Collett leads Rislone USCS MOD qualifying at Greenville on Friday
Greenville Mississippi – November 6, 2009 – Billy Collett from Clinton, Mississippi led the Rislone USCS Modified Series presented by Parts Plus www.uscsracing.com time trial qualifying on Friday night at Greenville Speedway. Collett captured the Bar’s Leaks Fast Time Award in time trial qualifying by turning a lap of 17.04 seconds around the ¼ mile Gumbo clay oval.

Stull wins Gumbo Nationals prelim at Greenville Speedway on Friday

Stull collected the winner’s paycheck for his efforts while besting a talented 24-car field that included drivers from six states. It was the second career Parts Plus USCS victory for Stull and the second time he has won at Greenville Speedway in 2009.

Akin 2-4-2 in Rislone USCS Mod - Malden Nathan Rettig Cotton Bowl

USCSOWMAkin10.3.09Malden.jpgMalden, MO – October 3, 2009 – Shane Akin from Median, Tennessee dominated the Rislone USCS Modified’s  portion of the recent two-day Nathan Rettig Memorial Cotton Bowl Cup at Malden Speedway. Akin who started twelfth in the main event, collected the win over a tough talent-laden field of forty-three open wheel modified cars from five states on Friday night. It was Akin’s career first Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series victory.

He then came back with another victory over a thirty-one car field at the 3/8 mile Southeastern Missouri speed plant in the finale on Saturday night after starting the main event in sixth place.

Saturday's results: Malden, MO - October 3, 2009 – Shane Akin from Medina, Tennessee who started sixth in the weekend finale main event, collected his second win of the weekend over another tough field of thirty-one Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series open wheel modified cars from four states in Round Two of the Nathan Rettig Memorial Cotton Bowl Cup on Saturday night at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri. The victory was Akin’s second win of the weekend in the highly regarded annual event.

Gray again in Parts Plus King of the Ovals Round 2 at Hickory

Gray grabbed the lead from Parts Plus USCS Asphalt Thunder Tour point’s leader Blaze Martin from Tampa, Florida on lap nine and led the final thirty-one laps to victory lane for his second win of the weekend in the two night dirt/pavement mini-series. Gray also won the Friday night dirt track portion of the unique weekend of competition that highlighted the versatility of the series drivers who are the only winged sprint car series in the world to contest their Championship on both dirt and paved ovals.

The defending United Sprint Car Series National Champion grabbed the lead from past USCS regional Champion Johnny Bridges on lap six and then dominated the final twenty-four laps of the main event in his Rislone Engine Treatment sponsored, Wesmar powered J&J Auto Racing #10. It was Gray’s third win at Carolina Speedway in three tries in 2009 and his eighth USCS win of the season.

On lap thirteen Bowers charged low under Weaver to grab the lead in turn one, then held on win the 25-lap contest. It was Bowers first Rislone USCS Modified Series victory.

Moore wins Rislone USCS MOD MO State Championship at Malden

USCSOWMMoore9.12.09.jpgMalden, MO – September 12, 2009 - Chris Moore from Coldwater, Mississippi beat K&N Filters Pole Position starter Brandon Smith from Batesville, Arkansas into turn one of the 40–lap Rislone USCS Modified Series Missouri State Championship race. For the next 40 laps Moore led the race by a small margin over Smith only to see the thriller come down to a drag race down the last straightaway to the flag stand. Moore won the battle by the length of his front bumper over Smith for the $2000 paycheck.

Brandon Smith from Batesville, Arkansas raced from inside the second row to capture the Bar's Leaks Semi- Feature #1 presented by Aero Race Wheels. The win placed Smith on the pole for Saturday nights 40-lap $2000 to win Missouri State Championship race. Chris Moore from Nesbit, Mississippi won the R.H.S. Racing Head Service Semi-Feature #2 presented by Comp Cams. Moore will star outside the front row next to Brandon Smith in the talent charged finale on Saturday night.

Crawley then led the final ten laps to victory lane in the thirty-lap Parts Plus USCS Georgia State Sprint Car Championship Round Two finale at Lavonia Speedway on Saturday night. It was Crawley’s seventh Parts Plus USCS win of the season.
