Crawley scores Parts Plus USCS Mid South Thunder win at Drew County Speedway

USCSCrawley4.11.09.jpgMonticello, AR April 11, 2009 – Defending Parts Plus United Sprint Car Series Mid South Thunder Tour Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas battled past seven-time USCS National Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee on lap five of the 25-lap main event at Drew County Speedway on Saturday night for his second USCS feature win of the season. It was Crawley’s seventh USCS main event win in the last eight attempts dating back to last season in the Ward Racing Boatersports sponsored David McCarver powered #88 Maxim Car.

Rasdon races to Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series win at Drew County Speedway

USCSOWMRasdon4.11.09crop.jpgMonticello, AR - April 11, 2009 - The current Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series points leader, Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas rolled to his second win of the 2009 season in the Rislone USCS Modified 25-lap feature at Monticello, Arkansas on Saturday night. The 22-year old USCS young gun led every lap of the 25-lap main event after starting from the K&N Pole Position. After setting the evening’s fastest time of 17.86 seconds around the 3/8 mile clay oval in is ATG Contractors/ GRT race car, Rasdon bested the strong field of thirty top drivers from around the Mid South area to pick up his fourth big race victory of the year.

Gary Taylor wins Parts Plus USCS Spring Xplosion Finale at Magnolia Motor Speedway

It was a career-first USCS feature win for Taylor over a talent-laden field of competitors from eleven states. It was, more importantly, the first-ever USCS win for noted sprint car-owner Bobby Sparks from Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Hard chargin? Hull scores Parts Plus USCS Bootheel 200 win at Malden Speedway

USCSHULL3.21.09.jpgMalden, MO - March 21, 2009 – Local favorite Jerrod Hull from Sikeston, Missouri charged from the twentieth starting position in the Parts Plus United Sprint Car Series 30-lap A-Main into the lead on lap seventeen and held on for the victory over seven time USCS National Champion Terry Gray in the sprint car portion of the 3rd Annual Bootheel 200 on Saturday night. Hull who has won four times in USCS competition at Malden Speedway over the past four seasons put on quite a show for the near capacity crowd on a chilly overcast evening. Hull had a challenging evening because of mechanical failure in the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat. While leading the heat race he dropped out and had to start the main event in the eleventh row.

Rasdon leads Bottheel 200 Qualifying Night for the Rislone USCS Modifieds at Malden Speedway Friday

USCSOWMRasdon30709.jpgMalden, MO – March 20, 2009 – Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas led the 3rd Bootheel 200 Pole Qualifying Night events for the Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series at Malden Speedway on Friday night. Rasdon set the fastest time in the one-lap Comp Cams Time Trials for the open wheel modifieds with a lap of 16.56 seconds around the newly re-worked and re-clayed 3/8 mile oval. Rasdon bested fellow Arkansan and team-mate, Jeff Greene also from Jonesboro, Arkansas by 22/100ths of a second for the honors after Greene turned a 16.78 seconds best lap.
