Crawley and Gallagher lead O'Reilly USCS Gumbo Nationals qualifying night results at Greenville

OReillyUSCSlogo.jpgOctober 31, 2008 - Greenville Mississippi – Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas in the Boatersports sponsored Ward Racing #88 led the O’Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series presented by Lucas Oil qualifying night event on Halloween Night. Crawley captured the RE Technologies Fast Tine Award in time trial qualifying by turning a lap of 13.87 seconds around the ¼ mile Gumbo clay oval. Crawley’s time was just five one hundredths of a second off the all-time Greenville Speedway track record of 13.82 set by Ernie Ainsworth from Memphis, Tennessee during the Gumbo Nationals 2007 qualifying. 

Chris Moore Bags $2000 Trick or Treat Modified Nationals

USCSOWMMoorevlane101108.jpgOctober 11, 2008 - West Memphis, AR - Chris Moore from Coldwater, Mississippi went Trick or Treatin’ early on Saturday night and bagged the top prize of $2000 in the 35-lap Open Wheel Modified portion of the Trick or Treat Fall Nationals at the historic Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. Moore collected the $1500 top prize plus a $500 Rislone Oil Stabilizer bonus posted for pre-registering for the event. Moore bested a field of forty-three drivers from four states in the race billed as Modified World War I that pitted the weekly Modified drivers from Riverside Speedway against drivers from the Southern Modified Promotions Modified Series (SMP) and the Rislone USCS Modified Series in the Mid-South’s biggest Modified race of the year.

It was Raines first career win in O’Reilly USCS competition and came over a competitive field of 34 cars from five states.

Rasdon, a two-time 2008 Rislone USCS Modified Series feature winner led every lap of the 25-lap Championship race.

Lemmings led the final thirteen laps after passing Camden Speedway regular, Bronson Berry from Huntingdon, Tennessee on lap thirteen. It was the first series feature win for Lemmings who has ranked in the top ten in the point standings in all three seasons since the Rislone USCS Modified Series began in 2006.

Crawley started outside of the front row and beat K&N Filters Pole starter and defending O'Reilly USCS Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee to the first turn and held on for the win and a $2000 paycheck in the 30-lap winged sprint car main event. It was Crawley’s eighth O’Reilly USCS feature win of the 2008 season.

It was Bridge's fourth O'Reilly USCS Asphalt Thunder win of the season and fourth in the O’Reilly USCS Carolina Thunder mini-series.

Crawley, Skinner, Gray, Howard and Nicholson top O'Reilly USCS Mid South Thunder standings

USCS_Mid_South_Thunder_logo.jpgAtlanta, GA - August 11, 2008 - Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas continues to lead the current O'Reilly ( United Sprint Car Series Mid-South Thunder point standings with 2004 points after this past weekend's double-header at North Alabama Speedway on Friday and Clayhill Motorpsorts on Saturday.  Crawley won the Friday night event and finished in second place behind Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday night.

Skinner tied Crawley's performance with a runner-up finish on Friday at NAS and his 15th O'Reilly USCS career feature race on Saturday night. He trails Crawley by 38 points in second place with 1966 points. Defending series Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee ranks third with 1956 points followed by veteran racer Ronny Howard from Southaven, Mississippi in fourth place with 1657 points. Rookie Anthony Nicholson from Bartlett, Tennessee rounds out the top five with 1610 points. 

Marshall Skinner visits O'Reilly USCS victory lane at Clayhill Motorsports

USCSSkinner8.9.08.jpgAugust 9, 2008 – Atwood, TN – Former O’Reilly United Sprint Car Series Champion, Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas passed series points leader, Tim Crawley on lap nine to gain the lead and then battled wheel-to-wheel with Crawley for the next eleven laps to grab the victory and $2000 first place pay check in the 30-lap O’Reilly USCS main event at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee on Saturday night.

Skinner finished with a half straightaway lead over runner-up Tim Crawley after starting fifth in the main event and masterfully racing around the bottom of the well groomed 1/3 mile red clay oval before the a capacity crowd. Crawley from Benton, Arkansas who started in the fourth position led the first eight laps of the race and again regained the lead on lap twelve only to have Skinner get back around in lapped traffic.
