Perricone USCS Mississippi Swing

Perricone USCS Mississippi Swing

Jim Perricone and the JBMotorsports 10P sprint car team had planned on running with NRA/SOD for the weekend up north. When weather predictions looked bad the team turned to Mississippi and the USCS races. Night one was at Greenville Speedway and it was apparent that something just wasn't right with the motor. The team could not trace the issue down and still managed to have a 16th place finish. Night two took the team to Jackson Motor Speedway. The night one issue was found and it was an intake gasket failure. The team missed hot laps but thanks to the help of Ronny Howard (Scooby Doo) we had the car ready for the heat race. Jim was fast and took home third place pulling away from the cars behind him. This locked the car solidly into the feature up front. A strong start in the feature was quickly erased when motor issues showed up again. This time it was overheating and later would find out it was a combination of water hose and low speed bypass that was sticking open. The car was fast and moving up through the field until a yellow came out and Jim would have to pull it in. Each time Jim restarted in the back and finally moved up to finish 14th but had a top 10 car. Next for the team will be end of September races.
