FAYETTEVILLE, GA - Current O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series National point leader Kenny Adams of Malabar, FL leads the Huggins Cams Hard Charger point standings through the first 34 events of the 2005 season. Adams has turned in 103 points, to lead Danny Martin Jr. of Sarasota, FL by 18 points.
Drivers earn one Huggins Cams Hard Charger point for each position they improve from the start to the finish of each O'Reilly USCS main event. The driver with the most points at season's end will receive a cash award from Huggins Cams at the Annual O'Reilly USCS Awards Banquet.
The defending and four-time O'Reilly USCS National Champion Terry Gray of Bartlett, TN is third in the Huggins Cams Hard Charger point standings with 80 points, five points behind Martin. The leading Robison Racing Products Rookie of the Year Candidate Bryn Gohn of Malabar, FL is in the fourth spot with 68 points.
The 2004 O'Reilly USCS Rookie of the Year R.J. Johnson of Decatur, TN is fifth with 64 points, followed by Hunter Schuerenberg of Sikeston, MO with 48 points, Matt Tiffany of Daytona Beach, FL with 46 points, Johnny Bridges of Cherryville, NC with 43 points, Brice Wrenn of Lexington, SC with 38 points, and Ryan Myers of Eldorado, OH and Tom Winegardner Sr. of Pierson, FL are tied for tenth with 36 points.
