O'Reilly USCS Asphalt set-up clinic and seminar at Peach State on Saturday - March 17th

Atlanta, GA - The O'Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series www.uscsracing.com "Asphalt Thunder" Tour and Peach State Speedway www.peachstspeedway.com in Jefferson, Georgia will host a set-up clinic and driving seminar for pavement sprint cars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007 in the infield of the famed speedway. The O'Reilly USCS is the only winged Outlaw sprint car series that contests its Championship on both dirt and paved ovals. A sprint car practice session will immediately follow the seminar and the O'Reilly USCS will contest it's Asphalt Thunder Tour season opening event on the Peach State Speedway half-mile paved oval that same evening at 7:00 pm. The event will be the first ever for the O'Reilly USCS at Peach State Speedway and in addition the first outlaw sprint car race in over a dozen years at the high-banked speed-plant.

The seminar will mainly focus on the basics of how to set-up a sprint car (dirt car or pavement specific chassis) to competitively race on paved ovals with the O'Reilly USCS series. Other topics to be covered are braking and driving on asphalt oval tracks, tire management and cost and components needed to race on both dirt and paved ovals with the same car. The seminar will feature speakers yet to be announced including past National Champions and suspension experts who will be on hand for the practice session that follows to answer questions. Those expected to participate also include engineers from Pro Shocks and Hoosier Racing Tires.

Peach State's season opening two-day event will also feature a test and tune practice session on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the full racing program on Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m. The Outlaw sprint car action will feature two-lap per car time trial qualifying, the Lucas Oil Power Dash 6 car / 6 lap shootout for the top six qualifiers, followed by a full round of qualifying heats, a last chance race and the A-Main Finale.

Also on the action packed racing card Saturday night will be a full racing program for five other Peach State Speedway divisions including the Pro Trucks, Iceman Class, Sportsman, Mini Stock and the touring Pro Challenge Cars.

Two weeks later (on Friday, March 30th and Saturday, March 31st) the series will contest an "Asphalt Thunder double-header at two other legendary high-speed ovals, Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida and Mobile International Speedway in Mobile, Alabama.
